Originally used in the 15th century in games across Europe, in the late 18th century tarot cards began to be used by the occult for divination purposes. Today, tarot cards are mainly used for fortune reading, with the intention that those having their readings can take away their own interpretations from the cards. The card featured on this necklace is inspired by a traditional tarot deck and consists of a padlock encased heart in red enamel infill, as well as symbols of love and harmony such as doves, roses, and arrows, also in colourful enamel infill. Underneath the image, the word 'love' is written in bold black lettering. 

Made from sterling silver plated brass, this necklace is a 16" trace chain with a lobster clasp to fasten, and a 4.5cm extender chain for adjusting to the desired length.
